This is what the organizers ofan illegal crypto farm who had settled in the unoccupied premises of an electricity supplier in the city of Vinnytsia. They ran their machines without paying for electricity, thus achieving exceptional profitability in crypto !
By manipulating the electrical switchboards, the thugs thought they could stay under the radar by masking their power consumption while becoming rich in cryptocurrencies. Unfortunately for them, their disguised theft of electricity had reached such a volume (about$ 200,000 according to the information collected) that it almost compromised the energy supply of the entire city.
Thus, once the pot with roses was discovered and while bandits had almost cut the light to the whole city, it was inevitable that the legal authorities would carry out a heavy-handed police raid in order to take matters into their own hands in this incredible story.
Once there, what was not the surprise of Ukrainian law enforcement by getting their hands on nearly 5,000 units of computer hardware, including 3,800 PlayStation 4 consoles, more than 500 graphics cards, 50 processing units, laptops, phones and flash drives.
