Jeff Buckley and Matt Bellamy and a 38-second NFT song
The leader of the Muse group, Matt Bellamy, recently purchased a 1983 Fender Telecaster blonde USA, guitar on which Jeff Buckley played his 1994 album Grace. And decided to use it to record Muse’s latest album as well as a solo track scheduled for release as NFT !
“I had a whole team of people who did due diligence on him to make sure it was absolutely the right guitar, interviewing his family and all sorts of things. I managed to get it checked out, and I have his Telecaster that he used to record the whole Grace album and the song ‘Hallelujah'””
“It’s interesting, because he had a huge influence on me as a vocalist, but he was actually a great guitarist too, and obviously ‘Hallelujah’ is a legendary record”,
“I didn’t buy it to hang it on the wall with a picture of Jeff saying, ‘Look what I’ve got’. I bought it to try to use it, integrate it and make sure that this guitar continues to be part of the music. I like to believe that this is what he would have wanted””

Bellamy used guitar to record a new version of Muse’s 2009 song “Guiding Light”, a 38-second instrumental track that will appear on his upcoming solo EP Cryosleep.
Auctions for The Passage association
The EP will be released on vinyl on Record Store Day, and Rolling Stone reports that three songs from the EP, including “Guiding Light”, will be auctioned to fans as NFT.
They proceeds from the sale will be donated to the British charity The Passage, an association to help homeless people.
This is not the first time that musique and NFT have combined well, we have seen recent examples of Jay Z, Katy Perry or Hans Zimmer ! Then fashion effect or true revolution, the future will tell !
